Back from Cashiers

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

We just returned from another assignment in beautiful Cashiers, North Carolina. We photographed this home that was constructed using recycled timbers from an old Pennsylvania farmhouse. The old farmhouse, built in 1791, was the only home that survived the Carlisle deluge and was mentioned in the writings of Ben Franklin.

We just returned from spending a week in North Carolina. The trees and flowers were all in bloom as spring was coming into its own.
While we were there we photographed one log home, 3 retail centers, and 1 timber frame home.

Back from the Smokies

We just returned from an assignment near Gatlinburg, Tennessee, photographing this wilderness lodge. It sits near the top of the mountain, so the only way we were able to get photos of the whole exterior on one side was to rent a helicopter. Very cool place. Sleeps 52. It even has a little log home for the kids.

The best part of this job was that the lodge wasn’t rented the week that we were there so we got to stay there for 3 days and enjoy the house in the Smokies.
